How to wear removable braces

What Are Removable Braces?

Removable braces are braces that you can put in and take out easily.

The shape of removable braces is different from that of conventional braces, whether outer or inner.

They are made of clear plastic, so when you wear them, nobody can tell you have braces on.

Some removable braces are made of colored plastic, but the clear version is more popular because wearing it does not draw anyone's attention.

Benefits of Removable Braces

The benefit of removable braces is the same as that of conventional braces: they straighten your teeth.

Advantages of Removable Braces

The main advantage is that you can put them in and take them out yourself whenever you want to eat or drink.

They do not have to be fitted by a dentist, because wearing them is much like wearing dentures.

You also do not have to wear them 24 hours a day for several years. You only need to wear them at least 12 hours a day. You can take them out when you go to sleep, eat, travel or spend time with a lot of people.

Caring for removable braces is easier than caring for regular braces, too. When you want to brush your teeth, simply take the braces out and brush with a regular toothbrush, then clean the braces with another toothbrush or a brush.

Another advantage is the price. Removable braces cost less than regular braces, and the cheapest ones generally sell for under Rp 1 million.

Disadvantages of Removable Braces

Removable braces can only straighten teeth that are not too crooked, and they can usually only straighten the front teeth.

You need patience to see results. If you are not diligent about wearing them, it will take your teeth a long time to line up.

If you have a protruding jaw, a jaw that sits too far back, or very severe dental problems, you should not use removable braces, because they cannot handle those problems.

In addition, removable braces have to be replaced at least every 2 weeks.
