Early Years

Learning at Global Sevilla starts with Early Years. At this level, children are guided closely by expert teachers so they grow and develop well. They learn how to interact socially from an early age and how to work in groups, which sharpens their motor skills. Children are also taught to take positive, noble values to heart, so they grow up with those values within them. Mindfulness is taught in Early Years too and is an important part of character education. Children should be able to solve problems calmly and with a cool head. Thanks to this character building, children adapt quickly, which speeds up their development.

Primary School

The next stage is Primary School. Here children are taught to become more independent and more active. Two curricula are used in primary school: K13, the Indonesian national curriculum, and the Cambridge curriculum, which has been in place since 2003. The Cambridge curriculum emphasizes general knowledge taught in English, along with science and math. In primary, children learn ICT (information, communication and technology), practiced in the computer lab. Even in elementary school, children are expected to handle simple tasks on a computer.

Secondary School

Learning at this level focuses on research. Students carry out experiments in the laboratory, and field trips are held at this level as well. Students are also prepared for the Cambridge Checkpoint exam, which covers three subjects: English, math and science.

Vision and Mission

With the learning system covered, we now turn to the school's vision and mission. The vision is to be a leading K-12 school with international standards and a recognized reputation for excellence in character education, teaching and learning. The mission is to nurture global students through character. To realize this vision and mission, Global Sevilla builds character education into its lessons, such as mindfulness and spiritually based leadership education. The school puts spiritually based leadership education into practice through Scouts (Pramuka), which students take part in. Besides Scouts, students also train their leadership through the student council, known as OSIS. The head of the council is chosen through nomination, campaigning and voting. By electing the head of the OSIS, students learn how to practice democracy properly.
